CVL'S HISTORY
Creation of the CVL: April 13, 1971. Generous donors leaned over its cradle : Dr. André Morvan, mayor of Landéda, who made a personal donation equivalent to the value of two cars (2CVs) from the period ; Mr. Georges de Gaudemont, the first president of the CVL, who gave it its first impetus with his vision of "Beautiful Pleasure Craft" and his generosity ; Mr. Yves René Fleury, with the Festival Committee and the participation of Ms. Keraudy, who made it possible to organize a fair in the harbor in July 1971.

Donations and proceeds from the fair made it possible to purchase the first CVL boats.

The goal was to make sailing more accessible and to educate young people toward greater independence.

We are now over 50 years old, the age of maturity and strength.

Our original direction and values must be maintained. New challenges lie ahead. The volunteers of 1971 created a wonderful association. Its development, starting in 1981, was ensured by a team of professionals and volunteers. The municipality of Jean-François Kervern, by constructing a building for us on the port in 1985, allowed us to strengthen our work and ensure continuity; we were able to move into new premises in March 2023.
